Like many medical professionals, Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez Roman started via extensive training. His foundational education was completed at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from August 2011 to May 2015. Next, Gabriel earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts, Saint Kitts and Nevis, graduating in May 2020. Finally, Gabriel completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from July 2020 to April 2023, where he undertook two years and ten months of intensive training.

Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez Roman has been recognized for his academic excellence throughout his educational journey. He earned a place on the Dean’s List at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in January 2016, awarded to students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher. In October 2014, Gabriel received the Best Undergraduate Oral Presentation Award at the SACNAS research symposium. He was also a member of the Golden Key Honor Roll in November 2014 and the Campus NSCS Honor Roll in November 2012, both prestigious recognitions for students maintaining a GPA above 3.50 at the University of Puerto Rico.

Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez Roman holds several key certifications that highlight his proficiency and commitment to the medical field. He is an Epic Super User, demonstrating his expertise in electronic health record systems. Gabriel was previously certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS), although these certifications expired in 2023. These credentials reflect his comprehensive training and readiness to handle critical emergencies in healthcare settings.

Outside of work, Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez Roman embraces diverse interests and hobbies. He is an avid traveler, always eager to discover new destinations and immerse himself in different cultures. His passion for experiencing the world extends to his appreciation for fine wine and gourmet dining, where he enjoys exploring new restaurants and savoring unique culinary experiences.
